A veteran of the Montreal jazz scene, Richard has recently relocated to Nova Scotia.  He studied music at Concordia University with Charles Ellison and Dave Turner, as well as composition and improvisation with guitarist Brad Shepik in New York City.  He co-founded the group godsoftaste with long standing collaborators Adrian Vedady, Kate Wyatt and Greg Ritchie.  Richard has performed at the Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa Jazz Festivals, and has worked with David Binney, Donny McCauslin, George Garzone, Oliver Jones, Nikki Yanofsky, Chet Doxas, Remi Bolduc and many others.
